The Haven at Cedar Grove
In the fall of 2018, the Claus’ oldest son Brian became the first wedding at The Haven, making Kevin & Julie’s dream a reality.
The Haven at Cedar Grove isn’t just a wedding venue, it is a premier destination that offers an escape to the hectic busyness of everyday life.
Our hope is that with every wedding we host, we offer a “haven” to our couples, giving them a space to get away and appreciate the beauty of Hocking Hills, their love for each other all while creating memories that last a lifetime.
It all started with a napkin
In 2016, Cedar Grove’s owners, Kevin and Julie Claus, were sitting on the porch of Stillwater Lodge. They talked about their 3 children growing up on the property, and reminisced on how so many milestones were celebrated.
With all their kids growing up, they talked about them finding love and how wonderful it would be to see them married on the property where they shared so many memories.
Kevin quickly grabbed a napkin and scribbled sketches of a large lodge that could hold all of their friends and family. That vision became The Haven.
